Today's Writing Prompt: Value

Write about an item you own that isn't worth much money but has great value to you.

So I subscribed to this blog with the intention of doing it and writing for about a minute several times a week.... So far it hasn't happened. But today I will make it happen.

My item of value to me, though no monetary value is the cook book that Kelly made for me. I collect cookbooks thought it was so sweet that his class, ( he was in the 1st grade) all told their teacher how to make their favorite meals the way that their mom's make them, and Kelly's was Mac and Cheese. Though his instructions were so cute, just reading through the book was a laugh a minute. It is something that I will treasure forever. I plan to try and get it framed and hang it on the kitchen. I've seen these frames that open on the side and have a magnet to close it, to put pictures in and is easily changeable so I can take it down and look at it when ever I want. And my minutes up. That was pretty easy!!

Debate....

The other day my sweet cousin Leone read my last blog and wanted to share her opinions with me which sorta differ from mine but also coincide with mine in some places. But one of the things that we differ on was the guy playing Edward. She thinks he is creepy and not sexy looking at all. I think he has a lot of potential but that he isn't exactly the creepy sexy I think he needs to be. She thought the guy playing James was hot and I have to agree. I wouldn't run if I saw him coming after me!! lol I found some pics that I just loved and decided that you should also share your opinions!!

Here is one o
f my favorite Edwards
And here is the one of James

And just a picture that I loved!!
I realize that not everyone shares my opinions and that is totally fine. I just thought I would share. Hope that you enjoy these as much as I do!!!

The Twilight Movie

Ok ok... I will admit that I had my doubts about the new Twilight Movie, and I am as hard core Twilight fan as you can get, (or close to it anyway) but I could see how much they changed and I wasn't sure I could deal with the changes and the cast... sorry but I'm not sold on the girl playing Bella... anyway, after seeing the new trailer that I FINALLY got to see, my computer was having issues and today is the first day it actually worked for me. I will go see it.

I was also iffy because of Step
henie Meyers decision to put the last book on hold indefinitely - which I think would be completely stupid on her part cause I've read the 12 chapters that she put up on her website and I'm sorry but Midnight Sun is her best book BY FAR!!!!!

You can see the trailer at http://www.twilightthemovie.com/ecard_widget/

Another Kellyism.....

Last Saturday, Kelly decided to go with my dad and me to pick up Brenda. We were driving down 12th street heading toward the freeway when we passed by one of those rent to own furniture places. We got stopped at the light right next to it and so my dad and I were commenting on the price of the couches and chairs that they had outside. ($500.00 each for a couch and a couple of the arm chairs) Kelly then pipes up with "Why is furniture so expensive? I bet back in your day it was like $50 bucks instead of $500!" I wasn't sure what I had heard so I asked "back in who's day?" And he says "your's" My dad started laughing and told me that I really am getting old. I feel like it somedays but I didn't think I was THAT old... I can't wait until I can tell him that he's old one day.

4X4 Tag

Ok so I got this one from Amber's blog. I wasn't sure that I was going to do it until I checked out which picture would be the one and I laughed when I saw it so I decided to go ahead and do it. Here's what you do.... you go to your picture files and open your fourth folder and pick the fourth picture, then upload it and tell a little bit about what's going on in the picture.
So this is from Christmas 2006 and Pat is showing off his new paintball helmet. It's supposed to be a replica of a WWII German helmet. I have no idea why, I've been told a few times but can't remember... sorry...

Tagging anyone else who wants to......

Snips, Snails, and Puppy Dog Tails...

Ah the joys of raising boys...

The other day I went to pick Kelly up from school and I am not kidding... the boy wasn't in the car for more than 5 minutes when he farted (sorry but you know I'll talk about anything and everything...) It seriously reeked so bad that I rolled the window down and looked over at his angelic face. He was trying so hard to look innocent. It was an award winning look. "Eww... GROSS! What crawled up your butt and died? A dog?" I asked. He looked over at me like I had lost my mind and said, "Get real mom, my butt's too little, a dog would never fit."

Does he sound a little too much like me??? I think so too... I lost it!! I just died laughing.
So I asked about a smaller animal, I think a hamster...(yes I am aware of all the horror stories but I knew he wouldn't so I didn't feel bad asking him.) and he made his fist into a tiny little hole and said, "nothing crawled up there mom cause it's my butt is only this big"
I mumbled something about my foot going up his butt... but I digress. I then proceeded to ask about a worm or another large bug. He was so shocked that I would even ask him that "because don't I know that worms don't smell that bad when they die?"

He said all this with a straight face. It was so priceless.

Ah the joys of raising little boys... That is a conversation I NEVER thought I'd have with anyone.

House Elfs

So the other night Pat couldn't sleep very well, causing me to not be able to sleep very well. Come to find out that it was all the fault of a house elf. Yes you heard right, a HOUSE ELF. Apparently it was under the bed and was kicking the mattress. Causing the bed to shake which is why I thought that it was Pat moving all night. I was getting quiet upset because it felt like he was seriously bouncing all night. And according to Pat, I snored a little, which I don't think I did, but he says that I did. So I then in turn blamed his House Elf. I must be allergic to him and when he's so close to me, hiding under the bed like that, that it made me stuffy and caused my snoring. So it is all Pat's fault, if he had left his House Elf somewhere else we would have both slept soundly.

Another dream...

So last night I had a dream that I was with my family and this guy is trying to kill me by blowing me up. Now in the dream my boys are about the age they are now, but my sister (who is currently childless) has two boys a little younger than mine. So it was supposed to be further in the future. All this also happens in or very near BC. At one point I was tired of trying to be one step ahead of this guy and go to my family to see what can be done, and at that moment I realize that Brenda is in on it and is also trying to do me in. So my genius plan is to take her kids with me everywhere I go, along with mine. But sadly that doesn't solve it. She puts little bombs under the rocking chairs in the boys rooms so that if I sat on them and went to stand up, they would blow up. While i was holding her baby!!! I was like WTF?? Anyway, I run away from my house and head towards BC and a lady that I once upon a time ago worked for started following me up towards the highway on one of those bigwheel three wheelers that kids ride. She was riding one of those and was gaining on me while I was running. But i made it across the street to the east side of the road and started running while I was holding one baby and two kids were running after me and I kept thinking that we'd have to stop soon cause we were all going to be out of breath but, we never did need to stop. I made it all the way to 1100 S and in my dream reality the police station was right there. About where the golf course is, which I knew that and that was why I had to make it to the east side of the street.

So this is the type of dreams that I have been having lately! I also dreamed the other night that both my mom and grandma were alive and I was at my grandmas house with my mom. I was fighting with one of my friends trying to get her to leave the house cause I was done dealing with her and wanted her gone. While this was going on, I was giving Cameron a bath (don't ask me why, I guess that I was ok with giving him a bath while yelling at my friend). Right after I was done I walked past my mom who was in the back bedroom, (my grandma the whole time was in her room, she never did come out) My mom told me that the police wanted to talk to me because there had been a robbery at the convenience store that I worked at a long time ago. I hadn't worked there since before I had my baby, but they wanted to talk to me cause it was, they thought, an inside job and so they wanted my finger prints and a statement about where I was that morning. Which I had been there fighting with my friend and both my mom and grandma had not only seen us but heard us all morning. So I was more than willing to try and help them. They told me that they were talking to me cause I had held several positions and had knowledge of they way the store worked. So naturally I thought it was the WFJ and they then informed me that it was the OFJ they were talking about and I said that I had only been a cashier there and nothing else but they thought I had been in every position to which I had to say NO, and then explained that in WFJ I had only been a relief person and had no importance at all. They then went away after asking me who I thought could have done it, but since i don't even know who works there anymore I couldn't be of any help.

So I haven't figured out what both of these dreams mean or could be trying to telling me, so I guess it's just my imagination running wild again.

I also had a small dream that combined the dress of today with the talk of the 1800's. That was an interesting dream but it didn't last very long at all.

Confused...

So I have to blog about this here instead of my myspace blog, cause the person who I am going to write about my read my blog one day and I don't want to offend her. So I have a myspace account and I have several friends on there. I was looking a some of their pages and I must say that at first I was surprised to see that she had one, but the more I looked at her page the more it made sense. Several of her kids are on there. Well, she had a daughter that died a few years ago and someone made a account for her and I just thought that was going a little too far. They get on her page and tell her that they miss her and all that but it's just weird to me. Am I the only one that this is weird too?? I guess given who it is, I shouldn't be so surprised, she's been weird about it.

Since when did

Ghosts and ghost stories become romantic?? I was watching the Travel Channel tonight and I've heard several times that ghost are romantic. Now I am still fairly newly married and we still like the romance but I have yet to say to him, "Gee dear, I still love you but I feel that our marriage is lacking some romance, lets go try and find a ghost or a haunted house to liven things up"

Call me weird but this is not something that I think of as romantic. I'd prefer dinner in a nice quiet place, a walk or a drive with just the two of us, flirting to our hearts content and of course some foreplay. I love ghost stories and haunted houses and I try to go out of my way to see them. I have a very open mind and am willing to believe in them until I have absolute proof in front of me that they are not real... now, don't get me wrong, I think a lot
of people fake a lot of things, but I know that there are some things that just can't be explained away. But never "Oh look its a ghost... I think I love you, kiss me" type of thing.

I will admit that when I get scared, a real scare, that it turns me on, (sorry if this is TMI but you ask for it if your reading my blogs, TMI is to be expected sometimes... at least I'm not telling you about the hot and heavy sex I had the other night, LOVE MY HUBBY!!! ) So anyway, back to the scary things that turn me on, but that's like turned on lets have sex soon, not romance I love you. And seeing a ghost in front of my face would probably scare the shit out of me. I'll have to get back to you on that one, if I ever get a ghost in front of my face, or even behind me, or I guess anywhere in the room for that matter.

Last Night

So.... I have decided that I have read enough classics for the time being, but I still have more to go and since I LOVED Pride and Prejudice so much, I will have to read that one yet again. Last night, I had a very vivid dream where I lived back in the late 1800's. I was living in the same time period of most of the people I have been reading about. Of course because I didn't write it down and it's now almost midnight, I have forgotten most of the dream, but I do remember that a wealthy gentleman was taking me to Paris from England because I needed to be hidden from someone, (I can't remember who) But that this Gentleman liked me and I wasn't sure if I liked him at the time or not, but wasn't in any position to refuse his help at that time. And I remember being VERY excited that I was going to Paris! I have always loved Paris and dearly want to go to France one day while I am still young enough to enjoy it. I also remember that it was important that he was wealthy because in all my books that is a key point. I can still see the streets in my dream, they were made of I think it's called cobble stones, and the shops were all small and had one or maybe two people working in them. I sadly woke up before I made it to Paris, but I would have loved to even go there in a dream. I was thinking after i got up that if I could have a few of the comforts of today, I would go back and live in that time period where everyone was so civil to each other and everyone tried to look nice and just how simple everything was back then. I find that I get so tired of the hustle and bustle of today that it would be a welcomed relief to live back when you arrived somewhere in either a carriage or on horse back or by walking. And to have balls where you get dressed up and the dances take a half hour for just one dance.
I have finished reading Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility, am in the middle of Mansfield Park and decided to take a break from the classics to finish reading (for like the 4th time) Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire. Then I am going to start on the Twilight series again so that everything is fresh and ready to go when Breaking Dawn comes out!!

Some pics of our Fourth of July...

So here are the pictures that I had promised to post. We set up the baby's pool and the slip and slide for Kelly. It was about 95 degrees so I was amazed when Kelly said he was cold. Cameron wouldn't go near the slip and slide while the water was on but after the water was off he'd go up and touch the puddles. We got a few sparklers cause I was sure that they wouldn't scare him too much. He wouldn't go near them but didn't cry or get real scared. Just wary of them. I took him home before the fireworks began, but we saw some of Willards and Harrisville's and of course Ogden's was right in front of us most of the was home. Cameron was excited to see the ones from a distance but as we passed Harrisville's they were right off the highway in the park and were VERY loud and Cameron didn't like that at all. I'm hoping that next year he'll be ok with loud noises and we can go together. Kelly loved them. Kelly also informed me that he'd like to spend the 24th with his dad "so that he can spend the 4th with each of us" I thought that was cute but I'm not sure that that will happen. I sure hope so.

Kitty Moments..

So I have these moments that I call my "Kitty Moments" They are basically when I am talking and out of the blue I jump to a completely different subject right in the middle of my last one. Then just as suddenly, I jump back. Take today for instance. Pat and I, and of course the boys, were driving through Willard on our way to Brigham for our family BBQ. I was talking to Pat about things that I heard on the news. A lady hitting a BEAR driving up Provo Canyon as we were passing the waterfall I stopped mid-sentence something like... This lady was driving up Provo Canyon and a bear 'there's no water in the waterfall anymore, how sad' anyway so a bear walked out in the lane and she hit him and killed him. Pat just laughs now, but it used to bother him because sometimes my kitty moments go for a lot longer than a sentence. But I ALMOST always get back to my original topic sooner or later. My brain is just a jumble all the time and sometimes things pass through that I know wont stick and so I have to say them before they are gone. Am I the only one who does this??? I know I'm not cause my BFF Sam does it too. And so does Pat, though I don't think that he ever did it until he'd been around me for a while. And I'm pretty sure that Sam didn't used to do it either.

Now the reason it's called a kitty moment is that one night probably close to 10 years ago now, Sam and I were going for a space cruise and I was talking and just said in mid sentence, Oh look a kitty, then finished talking about the first subject. Sam laughed but I honestly didn't notice it. It wasn't until I had done it a few times that she pointed it out and we started calling them kitty moments. I also have names for other things, like semi trucks are big kittys because if you look at the front of a semi head on it looks like a big cat. Ok so I admit it takes some imagination, but the windshield is the eyes, the ones that have two smoke stacks are the ears, the grill is the nose, and the bumper is the mouth. See a big kitty!!

The other night I was watching Tru TV, (formerly Court TV) my favorite station. They had on a series that I just love and watch all the time. "Speeders" then they had on two other funny stupidest criminals type shows that I laughed and laughed. I saw this blip that they were about to show and it showed enough that I couldn't stop laughing. I seriously almost spit out my pepsi and had I had to pee I probably would have pee'd my pants. In Canada they have like those van paddy wagons type of thing and they had handcuffed these three guys together one hand to the others hand so that they formed a line. The geniuses that they are, decided to make a break for it and they took off just to go maybe 20 yards at the most, and the last guy takes a beaner to the head into a pole like a street lamp or something. Causing the other two to get jerked back onto the first guy who fell and all around the pole like ring around the rosies. I seriously laughed so hard and am giggling right now as I write this. I know I am so not doing it justice but I swear IF I ever find it on u tube, I will so post it. I am still giggling! Although, I laugh my ass off whenever I see anyone hit their heads on walls, doors, doorways, poles, LMAO just about anything. Now, if they were really hurt I would feel bad first and then laugh. I guess i am just very easily amused. :)

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!!

So I would like to take this time to wish everybody a happy and safe Fourth!! I am killing time until the baby gets up from his nap so that we can go to the mother in laws for a BBQ. She bought a slip and slide for the boys and I plan to take lots of pictures. So I will upload them all tomorrow!

As I was watching the news today one of the items was that a woman driving up Provo Canyon hit a bear!! A BEAR!!! A bear walked out into the lane while she was heading up the canyon and she hit and killed the bear, but wasn't injured herself too bad. She was only in a jeep (the kind I don't know) but I'm thinking that most jeeps are not THAT big so I'm thinking it was probably a smaller bear. Then they did a story of a guy riding a bike, as in bicycle, heading down another canyon Parleys I believe, up by Park City and he hit a dear. He was doing they think about 40 mph. he was going down hill so it is very possible to go that fast, but he hit the dear so hard that he was basically thrown to the ground head first, smashing his helmet and receiving severe head wounds, and other wounds as well. He was life flighted to the hospital. They didn't know the condition of the deer. I'm sure it probably had to be put down, but hopefully not.

So I recently just started reading Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. I must say that I was confused by the very first paragraph but I continued to read on and now am at chapter 7. Though, they are all very small chapters. I am trying to kill time until I can get my hands on the fourth book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn. My BFF Amber invited me to go with her and her aunt to the Borders in Logan the Friday night before it's midnight release. I have never gone to sit out all night for a book before, and while I'm hoping that we wont have to sit out, but maybe wait in a long line to receive the book. The sad thing is that we both pre-ordered our books but neither one of us wants to wait for it to come in the mail. So I might just go up with Amber and get one when it first comes out. I am super excited. But have also decided to try and open my mind to some of the classics that I thought were too stuffy before. I must admit. I am completely in love with Pride and Prejudice and I feel that the characters are like very dear friends. Now I haven't even seen the movies before for any of the classics that I am now reading, so that I would be able to see if I like them. I loved the book and liked the movie, which I just saw yesterday. I wasn't as in love with Sense and Sensibility, but that maybe because I didn't understand it as much. I feel very not smart when I read these books. Its not only the old fashioned language but also because I swear that some of the words she uses, my definitions are not the same as hers, or that I thought I knew what something meant. I also don't know what some words mean at all. And I am left guessing by reading the rest of the sentence and figuring what I think it means is close enough. It's gotten so bad that I have decided to get a small notebook and write down all the words I am either unfamiliar with or that I want to make sure it means what I think it does and I've also decided that the notebook would be filled before I even got to the third chapter. Oh well, there is only one way to learn, right?!? And I am learning at least a little, right? lol.

Does anyone know???

How to change your blog pages but be able to keep everything you had before in your layout? I changed the layout background and it erased all my side things. I was very sad over this because I had some things that I really liked there. I found a few of them again but can't remember what all I had over there. I'm a bit sad and am not sure how to or what to do.... Any thoughts or help would be appreciated!!

A little bit of everything

A rare treat, Pat and I were able to go to the movies last weekend again. We saw Indiana Jones 4 and while we were told it was good but just ok we both loved it and were so into it that we barely noticed the kids behind us that were either repeating everything that was being said, or screaming at completely inappropriate times. Like when NOTHING was happening. Anyway, Pat said that he felt guilty pawning the kids off on his mom two weekends in a row. To which I told him that it was only a few hours and that it wasn't that big of a deal. He said that he didn't want to impose on his mom and I told him that if she didn't want to watch the boys she'd say she didn't or couldn't watch them. Plus, it's not like we do this all the time. Before we saw these two movies, the last one we went to see was....

"The Spiderwick Chronicles" And it just came out on DVD so that tells you how long ago it was. Unlike some other people, (my sil) the movies is a treat for us. We can get sitters and have money to go sometimes, not a lot, mind you, but we do have plans to go but usually one thing or another gets in the way and we don't end up making it to see the movie. What's been happening lately is that we get there and the show we want to see is either sold out or has already started and if its too late into the movie, I'd rather not go in and see it. But try again another day. And to be perfectly honest, there has been a time or two when we had plans to go see a movie and the dear MIL took the baby overnight so that we could and it was so peaceful at home that I just wanted to stay and relax and not rush out all over town. Ya know?
So I just have to say this because it has really been bugging me. On the news the other day, they had a story that a baby who had been left in a hot car for 2 hours had died. And my heart goes out to the mother who left him in the car. It sounds like he lived for about 3 or 4 days before he passed away. I can't even imagine the mental anguish that this poor lady has been going through. She had gone to a friends house and left the 5 month old (some reports said it was 3 months old) in the car for two hours and she had just forgot that he was there. I personally wanted to know how you could forget your baby and why the friend didn't ask her where the baby was, wouldn't that have jogged your memory that he was out there? But anyway, they had a guy on the news (because this is the 3rd one in 3 months!!) One of the babies was found right after the parents left it in the car to go shopping and he broke out the window and called the cops so that one was fine. The other poor baby died. The "expert" said that if you were forgetful that you should set something that you wont forget next to the baby so that when you get said item, you'll remember to grab the baby. I was like WHAT???? Now I'm just as scatter brained as the next person but the baby is the one thing that I remember!! I've left milk in the car, my phone, the diaper bag, ect. So I just want to know what is something you'd remember if you couldn't remember the baby.

So much

So much has been done in the last week that I am trying really hard to remember everything I was asked to talk about so I'll do my best. Here goes: On Saturday (last saturday) Pat and I went to his eye appt and his contacts cost $50.00 a box and we of course needed two boxes because his eyes are two different RX. (So are mine but my boxes cost $25.00 a box). The doctors office thankfully agreed to mail them right to our house so I didn't have to make ANOTHER trip up there. It's in So. Ogden and in heavy traffic it can take over 20 minutes to get there. We've made a trip up there every week for the last three weeks. I really didn't want to have to go up there again. Although, one of the girls that work there reminds me SO MUCH of my friend Yvette. Not so much her looks, but her mannerisms and the way that she talks is very much Yvette like. We decided to go get something to eat, (I love subway!!!) and then went on a small space cruise before deciding to go down to the Newgate Mall and check out the mini traveling memorial wall for the Vietnam War. Pat has a second cousin that died in the war and we were able to find where on the wall he was and got some pictures from it. Greg B Belew is his 2nd cousin.

After that, we decided to go walk around the Mall and h
e basically just followed me around but he did want to check out a few stores too. I dragged him into Victoria Secret because I wanted to look at one of the new bra's that I had seen advertised. I also wanted to be measured since I haven't been since I had Cameron. I didn't even know what size I was anymore. I went ahead and bought one of the new Biofit bra's and I LOVE it!!! It is really almost like it was made for my body and that I really barely feel it. I was in shock for awhile, it cost me $45.00!!! I've never spent that much on a bra, ok that is a lie. I did buy a bra and panty set from Victoria Secret a few years ago, but I think that I got both of them for less than 45. It was a few years ago, so my brain doesn't want to recall that info. OR... maybe it's cause I did spend that much and I was in shock then too and my brain blocked out the painful memory of it. I bet that's what happened. But my bra this time is SUPER cute. It's white with colored polka dots!! Very cute. :) This is not the color I have but it is the bra.

We also stopped by Bath and Body Works, because my SIL works there and she gave me a gift certificate for my birthday and so I was able to buy some refills for my wall flowers and because it is their semi-annual sale, I got them for $5.00 a piece and they had my most favorite sent in so I got 3 kitchen spice, so very yummy!! 2 wall flowers in the pumpkin spice smell. Another good one, and then I got a new scent that I've never smelled before but decided to try it, wild honeysuckle. My parents had a honeysuckle bush in their backyard when I was younger and I loved the smell when they bloomed so I decided to give it a try. I'll let you know later if it's a good smell or not.

I also bought myself a book. I bought "Little Women". I've seen and love the movie, but I've never read the book so I thought why not.

We also decided to use the gift card we got for Christmas for the Cinemark theaters in the mall and go see "Prince Caspian" . I absolutely LOVED "The Chronicles of Narnia" (books) when I was little. The very first book I remember ever reading on my own as in not a school book, was "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" and my dad bought me the whole series when I was in like the 5th or 6th grade. I loved them so I was way super happy that they were being made into movies. And while the movies varied from the books some, I was still pleased with them! I was VERY happy with Prince Caspian. And I must say that I think the kids are all growing into very cute people. Especially the younger two. Though, I was sad that Mr. Tumnus wasn't in the second movie, he wasn't in the book either, but I really loved him. I really liked the guy who played him (James McAvoy) as well!! YUMMY!!!!
Well, the baby is up now so I'll finish this later.

A few years ago

ImageChef.com - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more A fews years ago Pat and I were going for a space cruise. We were going up Ogden canyon fairly late at night when we passed one of those election signs that we get saturated with every year saying vote for me for so and so, ect. We were going too fast to be able to get a picture of it and truth be told, we didn't think about it until the next day but the guy's name was Richard Payne. We laughed so hard at the thought of "Dick Payne" running for president or even the mayor. Please stand and welcome your commander in chief, President Dick Payne" or "If you vote for me, Dick Payne, I'll make sure....." I never did find out what happened in the election and whether or not Mr. Payne won whatever he was running for. It still makes me giggle when I think about it.

Yesterday

As the only approved sponsor for my sister, I had the delightful (not) pleasure (again, not) to go get her yesterday and babysit her for 8 whole hours! The whole time I'm thinking what on earth am I going to do with her for 8 hours!! Not a clue. We decided to get her hair done because it hadn't been done since my mom died 18 months ago. My dad had to pay for it so I wanted to go some place that wouldn't cost a fortune, being Sunday I was severely limited in my choices. Meaning Wal-mart salon here we come. Cheap it was not! For just a crown weave for highlights and a cut, not even a cut, it was a TRIM, it was $83.00 plus a tip. I wouldn't have complained but the highlights didn't even cover all the places they should have and she had dark patches in the back. I didn't tell her because what could she do about it, and she didn't pay for it. Had it been my hair I would have pitched a fit so that I got my $83.00 worth! Taking her out of the Rehab was a nightmare in and of it's self. I had to show ID, this I expected. I had to sign a paper saying what time I was taking her and when I was bringing her back, again this was expected. When we arrived at my house she had to call and say that she was here. When we were getting ready to leave to go get her hair done, she had to call again. When we got to Walmart she had to use their phone so that it would show up on the caller ID that she was there. When we left she again had to use their phone to say that we were leaving. When we got back to my house she had enough time to grab her laundry (that I did) call and say that she was on her way back. We did stop at my mother in laws house and my dad's house in Brigham, but since they aren't approved, they weren't on the list of her activities and we didn't call just added extra drive time.
She has to put a request in saying where she is going, when she is going and the addresses and phone numbers of where she is going.
She wanted me to come and get her next weekend too but I said no! My birthday is this week and I really don't want to have to deal with all that again. I think Kelly's dad is taking him for the weekend and my mother in law is taking the baby so I will actually have time to myself. Which I will spend 75% of it cleaning my house because it's a mess!!! I would love to take the opportunity to clean without kids under foot.

My Boys...

So we were in Brigham yesterday and both Kelly and Cameron were so cute playing with each other... I grabbed Venetta's camera
and asked kelly to smile and this is what I got.

Then I asked Cameron to smile and this is what I got... lol They are so cute.

Kelly was sitting on the floor and Cameron decided that Kelly was going to be his couch and stuck his butt out and backed up to Kelly. He sat down on Kelly's legs just fine but then stood up to do it again and he missed Kelly's legs and ended up on his back. He thought that was the funniest thing that had ever happened to him so he kept doing it and I was able to get pictures. They are so much fun to watch when they play together.

Pat went paintballing on Saturday and is bruised and sore from where the paintball's hit him and somehow, (baby ESP I think,) Cameron knew right where Pat hurt and started to hit Pat right on those spots, and when Pat said OWW (more like screamed Ow) Cameron once again thought it was the best thing he could ever have done and kept it up.

I'm Finished

I am finally finished planting all my mother in laws flowers.... I had help today and after 4!!! Count'em...4 trips to the store, the same store by the way, we got all the flowers planted and they look LOVELY!!! Even if I do say so myself. Although, it was not without some incidents... She has this strip in her back yard that just had weeds and some kind of plant things, ( I don't know what it was cause it was gone by the time I got there to work on it last week. but she had a box of wild flowers that she wanted down in place of the weed patch so I put down a tarp looking thing to help keep the weeds out and then placed 10 bags of top soil down, (and my back is paying the price now) then my helper, my BFF Samantha helped me by spreading the seeds down. She wasn't paying attention and put over 3/4 the box down on the first two and a half feet, and the strip is at least 10 feet long so we were grabbing handfuls of dirt and seed from the end and scattering it all over the rest of it but I have a sneaky feeling that that peticular section of dirt is going to bloom like crazy while the rest will be hit and miss... then when we were all done and proud of ourselves I noticed that the tarp thingy was blue and didn't quite look right so I looked on the packaging and guess what.... I put it on the ground UPSIDE DOWN!!!! So I'm HOPING and praying that it will still sorta work the way that it was supposed to but I'm not holding my breath. But the front yard looks FABULOUS!!!! I would have put about 10 more plants in her front flower bed but that's just me and I like it to look as full as possible. In a few years if they all do well it will look GREAT! I will take a picture tomorrow and paste it in this post. So it only took a full week but it really does look GREAT!! I am very happy with it and she seemed happy too! And I guess that is the most important part since it is her house.

Today

Today Cameron said Kelly without any prompting from me. He was standing in front of me just jabbering and I noticed that it sounded an awful lot like Kelly. So I listened harder and sure enough it was. He was saying it like Kelwee instead of Kelly but close enough. It was just so cute that I wanted to cry!!

He's such a happy little boy and talks non-stop! He as much as I hate to say it, is WAY TOO MUCH like me... He is going to be stubborn and independent and strong willed!! I can see the future and I see us butting heads quite a bit when he reaches those oh so fun teenage years...

Off to the races...

Ok here is my first official blog on my new blog!! And I guess for todays topic I'll write about the differences between men and women, or shall I say my man and his woman... the first difference is that it appears men are blind while women see everything.... My man, has two jobs that are his; take out the trash and empty the dishwasher... I had two full bags of garbage and both sides of the sink FULL of dishes last night and I had to ASK to have the garbage taken out and I had to empty the dishwasher this morning just so I could do the dishes because it was so full that you couldn't fit any more dishes in the sinks. How is it that he can go in the kitchen and NOT see these things that are all very much in his and anyone else's faces that go in there??? I just can't guess. Well, I guess that's all for now and it's not too shabby for a first post.
